How do I set my Elevate DVR/NVR to record motion?
Click Right on the screen at your live view, this will pull up your Quick Menu, choose Main Menu, click Setting – at the bottom, click Record – on the left, choose the camera channel you would like to adjust. Based on how you would like to record, use the mouse to highlight the schedules, to add or remove, Green is Normal/Constant record, Yellow is Motion record and Red is Alarm record, you can have up to 5 time periods within a single day for each. If you would like to copy that schedule to multiple camera channels click “Copy to”, and select the cameras you want to copy to and then hit OK to close window and APPLY to save. To turn on your Motion, click on Alarm – on the left, then the Motion tab – across the top. Put a check in the Enable box to enable, draw a motion grid over the live image for what you would like motion captured in your shot (area with red grid indicates motion activated area) and set the sensitivity you see fit for that Field of View. Finally hit the SET for Trigger Process, make sure “Record Channel (Record CHN)” is checked and make sure the corresponding camera number is also selected. *This ensures that when the camera sees motion in the Field of View it triggers recording, if you do not do this it will NOT TRIGGER A RECORD AND YOU WILL NOT BE RECORDING*.
