A camera records what happened. A speaker can stop it while it's happening.
Live talk-down is one of the simplest ways to turn a video system into active deterrence. Someone walks onto a closed lot, an operator sees it, and a voice comes through a speaker telling them they're on camera. Most people leave.
Both InVid NVR lines can broadcast your voice live to IP speakers. They work differently, so here's what each one does and how to set it up.
Vision Series AI NVRs broadcast your voice to up to 5 IP speakers at the same time. You can cover the front entrance, parking lot, loading dock, side gate and rear yard with one announcement.
You don't have to be at the recorder to do it. Vision supports live broadcast from:
Vision-compatible IP speakers: VIS-RSP15W, VIS-SP30W, INVID-SP24WSTROBE
Paramont Series NVRs broadcast live to up to 3 IP speakers from the NVR's local monitor. It's built for on-site monitoring: a guard desk, a front desk, or a back office where someone is watching the cameras.
Broadcast on Paramont runs from the local monitor only. It isn't available from the web UI or CMS.
Paramont-compatible IP speakers: INVID-RSP15W, INVID-SP30W, INVID-SP24WSTROBE

Mix and match indoor, outdoor and IP strobe speakers to suit the site:
The IP strobe speaker adds a visual alert on top of the voice, which helps in loud areas or after dark.
Talk to your InVid sales rep about adding IP speakers to your next Vision or Paramont install.
